Why is your price higher than other quotes I'm getting?
Because our quote is the whole project — engineering, permits, inspections, the window, concrete cutting, debris removal, framing, insulation, vapour barrier, drywall, and paint. Cheaper quotes are typically just the cut and the window. Add the rest yourself and the total usually exceeds ours.
I already have a window that was put in without a permit — can you help?
Yes, and it's a common Winnipeg situation. We can assess an existing unpermitted egress window, bring in engineered drawings, and work with the city to get it properly permitted and inspected — or correct the install if it doesn't meet code. It's far cheaper to resolve now than to have it flagged during a home inspection or sale.
How long does the whole project take?
Most single-window projects take 5–7 working days from cut to final paint. We give you a firm schedule before we start.
Do I need a permit for an egress window?
Yes — and we handle it. Cutting a foundation requires engineered drawings and a City of Winnipeg permit. We pull both, attend the inspections, and file the paperwork.
